Heatwaves are one of the most dangerous climate hazards causing serious health, social, environmental, and economic risks. They can impact human health and well-being, public safety, infrastructure, and biodiversity. A 2024 report from the International Labour Organization (ILO)(1) , highlights that over 71% of the global workforce, totalling 2.4 billion people, are now at high risk of extreme heat. In 2030, heatwaves will lead to a 2% loss of working hours, which amounts to more than a week
