Volatile prices seem to have been a consistent theme over the past few years for various reasons; this year’s are due in large part to geopolitical forces as the war in Ukraine grinds on, and unrest grows in China and Iran. Global crude oil prices slid in recent months amid looming fears of a global recession and rising interest rates, which have been hiked around the world in an effort to dampen consumer spending. Prices rallied at the beginning of December as China shifted away
