AI funding reached $66.6B in Q1’25, up 51% from Q4’24, across 1,134 deals. This growth was fueled by mega-rounds concentrated among a few infrastructure giants. Most notable was OpenAI's massive $40B round, followed by Anthropic's $3.5B Series E and Safe Superintelligence's $2B Series B. However, even without the OpenAI deal, Q1 would still be the second-highest AI funding quarter on record.
