A reported six months of rain occurred in five days in late November throughout Peninsular Malaysia which led to widespread flooding in the region. Although most of the heavy rain was observed in the north, flooding was reported in other parts of the region as well. In total, nine states in Peninsular Malaysia were impacted from the rain event. As a result, palm oil harvest operations and logistics were impeded.
