In 2024, we are past the mid-point of the timeframe in which the world committed to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In this period, we have seen a worrying increase in negative trends that affect many aspects of our lives and adversely impact those who are already the most excluded. Fundamental human rights are being violated in numerous countries, and the very notion of humanity is being put to test. According to CIVICUS Monitor’s most recent report, only 2% of the world’s popu
