This report summarizes the proceedings from the “WHO workshop on estimation of respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) disease burden based on RSV surveillance of Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System, Geneva, 21–23 June 2023”. The workshop served to enhance the capacities in six low- and lower-middle-income countries in estimating the disease burden of RSV using sentinel surveillance data. Additionally, the report includes a summary of a side-meeting involving RSV reference laboratories a
