As the upcoming host of COP30, Brazil aims to establish itself as a global climate leader. Its new Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) sets a target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 59–67% by 2035 from 2005 levels. This is a step up in ambition from the existing target for 2030, which is a 53% reduction from 2005 levels. The new NDC represents a significant opportunity to attract investment into climateresilient, low-emissions industries in Brazil and to enhance the competitiveness
