Currently, the top five heat-demanding industries in the EU — chemical & petrochemical; nonmetallic minerals; food, beverage & tobacco; paper pulp, paper & graphic arts; and iron & steel — account for more than 80% of heat consumption and urgently need decarbonization strategies.
