In Pakistan, with support from the European Union, FAO and the government aimed to build anticipatory action (AA) systems for drought and flood scenarios, focusing on Umerkot, Tharparkar and Dadu districts in Sindh province. To ensure the preparedness and readiness of an anticipatory action protocol, conducting an AA simulation exercise (SIMEX) is key. The anticipatory action SIMEX for drought was conducted during a dry period in drought-prone areas within Tharparkar district, Sindh province
