The urgency of addressing urban sanitation has never been more critical. The challenge is clear: we are not moving fast enough on urban sanitation. To meet Sustainable Development Goal 6.2 and achieve universal, safely managed sanitation by 2030, we must accelerate progress fivefold. The financing gap is huge, and climate change is making the challenge of urban sanitation even harder— hitting the most vulnerable people in low- and middleincome countries the hardest.
