By the end of 2022, almost all GFANZ financial institutions had adopted some form of long-term net zero target (i.e. a target for the period 2030- 2050, see Figure 1). Most of these commitments were made between 2020 and 2022, with few new targets set in 2023. The same trend applies to shortterm targets (targets with either a 2025 or 2030 date).
