The article is based in part on findings from a study of the U.S. short-term rental market conducted by Phocuswright, in partnership with Expedia Group and other travel leaders. Guests survey Phocuswright fielded an online survey between August 26 and September 11, 2024, through a Dynata consumer panel, targeting U.S. travelers who stayed in paid shortterm rentals at least once in the past year for leisure travel purposes. Phocuswright received 907 qualified responses and the respondent pool
