Auction volumes dropped 37% year-on-year, while transaction values fell by over 50% yearon-year. Average bottle prices hit a new low of £211 in April 2025. High-end bottle sales over £10,000 have nearly vanished, making up just 0.1% of volume and 5.7% of value. The shift in demand has concentrated sales under the £1,000 mark, now accounting for 96% of volume and 63% of total value. Independent bottlers, once resilient, saw auction activity drop by more than 45%, with few exceptions.
